PLC / Industrial Automation EngineerJob Summary

We are looking for an experienced PLC / Industrial Automation Engineer responsible for the design, programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC-based industrial automation systems. The role involves PLC, HMI/SCADA, VFD, servo and motion systems, industrial communication networks, remote I/O, and integration of third-party equipment.

Key Responsibilities PLC Programming
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for machine and process automation.
Work with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, ABB, or similar.
Develop sequences, interlocks, permissives, alarms, PID loops, and cascade control strategies.
Develop reusable PLC function blocks, standard routines, and software libraries.
Perform online PLC debugging, fault diagnosis, and program optimization.

HMI / SCADA
Develop and configure HMI/SCADA applications for:
Process monitoring and control
Equipment operation
Alarm management
Trends and historical data
User management and access control




System diagnostics
Integrate PLCs with HMI/SCADA systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-HMI/SCADA communication and visualization issues.

VFD & Motion Control
Configure, program, and commission VFDs, servo drives, and motion-control systems.
Configure speed, torque, and position control applications.
Work with encoders and resolvers for feedback systems.
Troubleshoot drive, motor, feedback, and motion-related faults.

Industrial Communication
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks and protocols, including:
EtherNet/IP
PROFINET / PROFIBUS
Modbus TCP/RTU
DeviceNet
ControlNet
OPC UA/DA
RS485 / RS232
Knowledge of MQTT and Industrial IoT will be an added advantage.

Automation System Design
Review and interpret P&IDs;, control narratives, I/O lists, instrument indexes, and electrical drawings.
Develop PLC and control-system architectures.
