Role Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive clinical assessments and surgical interventions for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus patients.
Perform complex ocular plastic and reconstructive procedures-including ptosis repair, lacrimal surgery, and orbital tumor management.
Diagnose and treat binocular vision disorders, amblyopia, and pediatric eye alignment issues with evidence-based protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for complex pediatric and reconstructive cases.
Conduct regular outreach programs and community vision screenings to expand access to early pediatric eye care.
Train junior residents and medics in pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and occuloplasty techniques.
Skills and Qualifications
Must-Have
Ophthalmology specialization with formal fellowship or advanced training in Paediatric Ophthalmology Strabismus
Oculoplasty surgical expertise including eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital reconstructive procedures
Experience managing strabismus and amblyopia in children under 12 years
Proficiency in surgical planning and execution using contemporary microsurgical instruments and techniques
Current medical license valid for practice in India
Solid record of patient outcomes documentation and surgical complication management
Preferred
Membership or fellowship in AOI, INOS, or equivalent qualified ophthalmology society
Experience working in tier-2 or tier-3 Indian healthcare settings
