Job Description – Loom Shed Supervisor (Toyota Airjet Looms)

Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or related field.
Additional certifications in weaving technology will be an advantage.

Experience
5 to 10 years of experience in a weaving department.
Mandatory experience in Toyota Airjet Looms.
Experience handling multiple Airjet looms and weaving personnel.
Exposure to fabric quality improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
Monitor daily loom shed operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
Optimize machine efficiency, loom utilization, and fabric output.
Ensure adherence to production plans and delivery schedules.
Analyze production losses and implement corrective actions.

Loom Operations
Supervise Toyota Airjet Loom operations and ensure smooth functioning of machines.
Monitor loom performance, RPM, efficiency, stoppages, and downtime.
Ensure proper style changes, machine settings, and fabric specifications.




Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Quality Control
Ensure production of fabric as per customer and quality standards.
Monitor fabric defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection rates.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams for quality inspections and improvements.
Maintain quality records and reports.

Manpower Management
Supervise Weavers, Fitters, Helpers, Knotters, and Operators.
Allocate manpower effectively across shifts.
Conduct on-the-job training for workers and operators.
Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of the workforce.

Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate with Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance teams.
Ensure timely preventive maintenance of Toyota Airjet Looms.
Minimize machine breakdowns through proactive monitoring.
Follow up on spare parts availability and machine upkeep.
