About Smriti Gram - The Dementia Care Village:

Smriti Gram is a groundbreaking initiative of Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT), envisioned as a benchmark model for dementia care in India. It builds upon over two decades of NMT’s pioneering experience in dementia care and caregiver support. Located in a 5 acre serene green campus near Doddaballapura, Bengaluru, Smriti Gram is designed to provide a safe, enabling,



dignified, person-centred, comprehensive care ecosystem for elders living with dementia, in a 5 acre serene campus near Doddaballapura, Bengaluru. Once fully operational, this 300-bed dementia village will be among the largest of its kind globally, offering a comprehensive and compassionate ecosystem for persons living with dementia. In the first phase, a 100 bed facility fully dedicated for the care of elderly with dementia from the marginalized families is being set-up, expected to be operational by Sept 2026. A training and research academy is also established at Smriti Gram, integrating care, training and research in Dementia.
