Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and monitor day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the CHP.
- Ensure reliable operation and maximum availability of critical material-handling equipment.
- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CHP mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot belt conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, magnetic separators, dust suppression systems, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems and associated equipment.
- Monitor the condition of bearings, gearboxes, couplings, shafts, rollers, pulleys, belts and other rotating components.
- Identify abnormal vibration, temperature, noise, leakage and other signs of equipment deterioration and initiate corrective action.
- Ensure proper inspection, alignment, lubrication and condition monitoring of rotating equipment.




- Plan and execute planned shutdown and major maintenance activities within the stipulated schedule.
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) of repetitive and major mechanical breakdowns and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 510 years of relevant experience in mechanical operation and maintenance.
- Experience in Coal Handling Plants, mining, power plants, cement, steel, bulk material handling or other heavy industrial environments preferred.
- Candidates with solid experience in conveyor systems and heavy material-handling equipment will be preferred.
