The role involves handling customers inside the store, understanding their requirements, assisting them in selecting suitable products, explaining product features/offers, supporting sales, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience.
The store deals with a wide range of grocery & daily-use products, household essentials, personal care products, and other retail categories.

Key Responsibilities Customer Handling & Retail Sales
Welcome and assist customers in the store.
Understand customer requirements and help them find the right products.
Provide information regarding product features, prices, offers, discounts, and availability.
Guide customers across different product categories.
Recommend suitable products based on customer requirements.
Promote ongoing offers, schemes, and promotional products.
Encourage upselling and cross-selling wherever appropriate.
Handle customer queries and provide accurate product information.
Ensure a positive and skilled customer experience.
Sales & Store Operations
Achieve assigned daily/monthly sales targets.
Monitor product availability on the sales floor and inform the concerned team about shortages.
Ensure products are properly displayed, arranged, and replenished.
Check product shelves and maintain proper product placement.
Coordinate with the store/inventory team for stock availability.
Assist in maintaining proper product displays and promotional areas.
Support stock checking and basic inventory-related activities when required.
Coordinate with the billing counter for smooth customer transactions.
Assist customers during the billing and checkout process when required.
Handle product exchanges/returns as per company policy.
Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of the assigned sales area.
