Container & VM Software Engineer – Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications running in containerized and virtualized settings.
Develop backend applications and microservices using Java, .NET, Go, and Python.
Build responsive and scalable frontend applications using React and Angular.
Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, API integrations, and service-to-service communication.
Work with Apigee for API management, API security, policies, traffic management, and lifecycle management.
Develop and optimize applications designed to run on Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, and cloud platforms.
Work with Oracle and SQL databases, including schema design, complex queries, stored procedures, optimization, and data integration.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release management.
Integrate automated testing, code quality, security scanning, and deployment processes into CI/CD workflows.
Develop highly available, scalable, resilient,



and secure microservices-based architectures.
Troubleshoot application, container, VM, API, database, and deployment issues across development and production environments.
Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Architecture, QA, Security, and Product teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
Participate in application modernization initiatives, including monolith-to-microservices transformation and VM-to-container migration.
Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and development productivity.
Apply Generative AI/LLM capabilities to software development, automation, application modernization, and intelligent engineering workflows.
Evaluate and implement AI-enabled development practices while maintaining code quality, security, governance, and maintainability.
