To ensure the quality and accuracy of machined components by conducting first piece approvals, in-process inspections, and final checduring day and night shifts. The Line Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product standards, preventing defects, and supportinsmooth machining operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform 1st piece inspection and approval for all machined components before mass production begins.
Conduct in-process inspection as per control plan, drawing, and customer requirements.
Verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, etc.Ensure adherence to machining parameters and quality standards.
Identify non-conformities,
document deviations, and coordinate with Machine Shop, QA, and Production teams for corrective actionMaintain inspection records, reports, and 1st piece approval documentation.
Support quality audits, internal checks, and compliance with ISO / IATF requirements.
Monitor component quality during day and night shifts, ensuring continuous quality control.
Ensure proper handling, calibration, and upkeep of measuring instruments.
Escalate quality issues promptly to supervisors to avoid delays or rework.
