The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing new customers, maintaining existing customer relationships, expanding the assigned territory, and ensuring timely follow-up and collection. The role involves regular market visits, customer meetings, order generation, competitor analysis and sales reporting. These are common responsibilities across current Sales Officer roles.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Identify and develop new customers, dealers, distributors and business opportunities.
Visit customers regularly and understand their product requirements.
Generate enquiries and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
Maintain valuable relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.
Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries and payments.
Monitor market prices, competitor activities and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, Accounts and other departments for timely order execution.
Ensure proper customer service and resolve customer complaints.
Monitor outstanding payments and support timely collection.
Maintain daily customer visit reports and Daily Sales Reports (DSR).
Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Develop the assigned territory and increase market share.
Communicate company schemes, offers and product information to customers.
Participate in dealer meetings, customer meetings, exhibitions and promotional activities where required.
