Job Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and MRI examinations as per physician/radiologist instructions.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, examination request, and relevant safety information.
- Prepare patients for CT/MRI procedures and explain the examination process.
- Operate CT and MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Select appropriate imaging protocols based on the examination and radiologist requirements.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media when authorized and follow hospital protocols for contrast safety.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Follow MRI safety protocols, including screening for implants, metal objects, and other contraindications.
- Maintain radiation-safety practices during CT examinations.
- Check image quality and repeat scans when necessary according to protocol.
- Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical problems to the appropriate team.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards in the imaging area.
- Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, doctors, and other departments.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of imaging data in PACS/RIS.
- Follow hospital policies, quality standards, and patient-safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent.
- Relevant registration/licensing where required.
- Experience with CT and MRI equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of PACS/RIS and basic computer applications.
