Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Mainframe Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing mainframe applications, validating APIs, executing end-to-end test scenarios, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The role requires strong analytical skills, defect management experience, and the ability to work in an Agile workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Mainframe Testing
- Perform testing of Mainframe applications involving CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL.
- Validate batch processing and online transaction systems.
- Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Validate file processing, data integrity, and database updates.
- Perform defect analysis and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Support release validation and production implementation activities.
API Testing
- Design and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP services.




- Validate request/response payloads using JSON and XML formats.
- Perform integration and end-to-end testing across applications.
- Verify API authentication, authorization, and error handling.
- Execute API regression testing and defect tracking.
- Review API specifications and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
General QA Activities
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Log, track, and manage defects through closure.
- Participate in requirement reviews and Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
