As a U.S. Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely federal and state income tax returns for individuals, estates, and exempt organizations. This role requires a solid understanding of U.S. tax regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to follow client-specific instructions. You will work closely with reviewers and team leads to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency throughout the tax preparation process.
About the Role:
For Individual / Trust Tax Returns (1040 / 1041 Returns)
Prepare accurate and timely federal, state, and city tax returns in accordance with client-specific instructions and deadlines.
- Make corrections and adjustments to tax returns based on reviewer feedback.
- Assist in the development and preparation of in-house training materials.
- Support team members by resolving tax-related queries and providing guidance as needed.
- Participate in induction programs and attend tax update training sessions as required.
- Perform document verification in SPbinder, when applicable.
- Effectively communicate and present information and respond to queries from managers and clients in a clear and professional manner.
About You:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in U.S. taxation.
- Robust understanding of key tax concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of both U.S. and Indian taxation systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and sound decision-making abilities.
- Practical exposure to various aspects of taxation.
- Good understanding of applicable tax rates and laws.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients and address their queries professionally.
