Business Development Manager Field Sales / Merchant Acquisition

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and target-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team and help grow Syncllusion, our mobile-based platform designed to help local businesses promote their offers and reach customers.

This is a field sales and merchant acquisition role You will identify local businesses, approach business owners, explain and demonstrate Syncllusion, onboard recent merchants, and maintain relationships with the merchants you acquire.

The ideal candidate should enjoy meeting people, be comfortable with field sales, and have the confidence to approach shop owners and business decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate leads from local shops, retailers and businesses through field visits, referrals, networking and other channels.
- Visit businesses and introduce Syncllusion to owners and decision-makers.
- Present and demonstrate the Syncllusion mobile application and explain its benefits.
- Acquire and onboard new merchant/business partners.




- Complete merchant registration and provide basic guidance on using the platform.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned merchants.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to improve merchant activity and retention.
- Understand merchant requirements and coordinate with the internal team for support.
- Encourage merchant referrals, renewals, upgrades and increased platform usage.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, visits, follow-ups and merchant onboarding.
- Achieve monthly business development, merchant acquisition and engagement targets.

Candidate Requirements

Mandatory
- 1–3 years of experience* in field sales, business development, B2B sales, direct sales or customer acquisition.
- Comfortable with daily local field visits in Pune.
- Own two-wheeler and valid driving licence*.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and Marathi.
- Comfortable approaching and speaking directly with shop owners
