Position Title:Senior Accountant

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Finance Manager

Location: Carpet Manufacturing Unit, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh

Job Purpose

To manage and oversee the organization's accounting operations, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, statutory compliance, financial reporting, cost monitoring, and support management in financial planning and decision-making within the carpet manufacturing and export business.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Record and reconcile all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and adjustments.
Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Maintain General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
Monitor customer receivables and follow up for timely collections.
Verify and process supplier invoices and vendor payments.




Reconcile customer and vendor accounts on a regular basis.
Monitor outstanding balances and prepare aging reports.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
Monitor and analyze production costs associated with carpet manufacturing.
Track consumption of raw materials such as wool, cotton, viscose, silk, latex, dyes, chemicals, and packaging materials.
Assist in product costing, job costing, and profitability analysis.
Analyze production variances and identify cost-saving prospects.
Maintain records related to inventory valuation and work-in-progress (WIP).
Inventory & Stock Accounting
Reconcile physical inventory with accounting records.
Monitor inventory movements across stores, production, and finished goods warehouses.
Ensure proper accounting of raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished carpets, and export consignments.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend correc
