Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer responsible for sourcing electrical, mechanical, and engineering materials, coordinating with suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, and ensuring timely procurement as per project and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement of electrical, mechanical, automation, and engineering materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors.
- Float enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers.
- Compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, payment terms, and specifications.
- Negotiate with vendors for the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after management approval.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Follow up on pending orders and maintain proper purchase records.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Projects, Design, Accounts, and other departments.




- Verify material specifications, quantity, and delivery requirements before placing orders.
- Maintain vendor database, quotation records, comparative statements, and purchase reports.
- Support vendor development and alternative sourcing for critical materials.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure procurement is completed within approved budgets and timelines.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical/industrial materials will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to prepare quotation comparisons and purchase reports.
- Good follow-up and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple requirements.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
