The GST Manager will be responsible for overseeing all client-related GST activities — from registration and refund filings to return management, portal monitoring and coordination with tax authorities. This role demands accuracy, client communication excellence and a proactive approach to compliance tracking.
You will lead a team of GST executives to ensure seamless execution, adherence to statutory timelines and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client GST Management
- Manage GST registration, refund, and return filing (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual).
- Oversee GST LUT (Letter of Undertaking) filing and renewals.
- Generation of e-way bill generation as per client requirements
- Handle PAN applications (recent/corrections) for clients.
- Conduct daily verification of client GST portals to ensure compliance and timely actions.
- Supervise GST payment certificate worksheets and documentation for audit readiness.
- Ensure timely follow-up with clients and suppliers to gather required documents and clarifications.
Internal & Team Coordination
- Lead the GST operations team and guide them on accurate filings and best practices.
- Maintain and update internal trackers, reports, and client dashboards.
- Coordinate with management and DGFT teams for cross-functional compliance cases.
- Provide periodic reports to management on pending cases, refunds, and upcoming deadlines.
- Update clients on refund or filing status at regular intervals.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure zero error in returns and documentation.
- Maintain 100% statutory compliance as per GST laws and notifications.
- Liaise with tax authorities and represent clients during GST audits or notices.
- Ensure all filings are completed within prescribed timelines and properly documented.
