Drives cross-team platform initiatives with significant impact on product behaviour, security, reliability, performance, and compliance across the group. Anticipates and resolves ambiguous problems; sets compatibility and deprecation strategies to minimize downstream risk. Establishes shared observability frameworks, SLOs, and capacity models used by multiple teams. Defines architectural guardrails, platform security infrastructure guidance, and reference implementations.

Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are diverse and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
