The Billing & Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering patient encounters and charges into the EMR/PMS system, maintaining billing records, and performing first-level reconciliation of billing data against daily appointment schedules. This role requires solid attention to detail, basic medical/anatomical knowledge, and proficiency with computer and basic Excel to support accurate and timely claims processing.
Billing & Charge Entry
Perform manual creation of patient encounters and accurate entry of charges within the EMR/PMS system.
Ensure all charges are entered in compliance with coding and billing guidelines.
Data & Records Management
Update and maintain billing master logs on a regular basis.
Verify and validate recent and existing patient demographic information for accuracy and completeness.
Reconciliation
Execute Level-1 billing reconciliation by cross-checking entered charges against daily appointment schedules to identify and flag discrepancies.
Education
Graduate in a science or pharmacy field preferred.
Experience
Prior experience in medical billing, charge entry, or healthcare revenue cycle operations is an advantage (freshers with relevant academic background may also apply).
