We are looking for a Tax & Finance Manager to take ownership of the tax, finance and compliance function across the promoter's personal investments/trading activities and corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor equity, F&O; and investment-related tax matters across multiple accounts.
- Maintain accurate records, reconciliations, MIS and transaction-level documentation.
- Proactively advise on tax implications of investments, trading and financial transactions.
- Track capital/business losses, tax liabilities and advance-tax requirements.
- Manage corporate income-tax compliances, computations, audits and related matters.
- Oversee GST and other indirect-tax compliances.
- Coordinate with external CAs, tax advisers, auditors, banks and brokers.
- Ensure all tax, financial and statutory documentation is accurate, timely and organised.
- Identify potential tax/compliance issues before they become problems.
Candidate Profile
- CA mandatory with 5–10 years' experience.
- Strong knowledge of direct taxation, particularly capital gains,
business income and securities/F&O; taxation.
- Good understanding of corporate taxation and GST.
- Experience with HNI/family-office taxation, investments or securities is an advantage.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal with skilled advisers.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Open to working in a dynamic start-up style environment.
This is not a conventional accounting role. We are looking for someone who can become the internal tax and finance brain of the family office and proactively identify what needs to be done, rather than simply process what has already happened.
