The MRI / CT Technician is responsible for performing CT and MRI examinations safely and efficiently, preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and MRI scans according to prescribed protocols.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, and examination details before scanning.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate preparation instructions.
- Operate CT and MRI equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality.
- Follow radiation safety and MRI safety protocols at all times.
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications and safety risks before examinations.
- Administer contrast media when authorized and as per established protocols.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards in the imaging area.
- Coordinate with Radiologists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital/diagnostic-centre policies.
Pay: ₹8,601.61 - ₹40,579.28 per month
