Role Overview An entry-level Desktop Support Engineer role designed as a launchpad into Cloud/DevOps engineering. The candidate will handle day-to-day IT support while being mentored on cloud and automation fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals across the organization
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/macOS operating systems and standard business applications (MS Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory / Azure AD
- Set up and support VPN, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity for end users
- Log, track, and resolve tickets through the IT helpdesk/ticketing system within SLA
- Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN issues, printers, and shared drives
- Support onboarding/offboarding of employees (asset allocation, account creation, software provisioning)
- Maintain IT asset inventory and update documentation/knowledge base articles




- Assist in patch management and antivirus/endpoint security updates
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation
- Gradually assist senior engineers with basic server, cloud console, and automation tasks as part of growth track

Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, VPN, firewall basics)
- Hands-on with hardware/software troubleshooting
- Valuable communication skills will interact directly with end users
- Willingness to learn scripting (PowerShell/Bash) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Any certification like CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation
- Basic exposure to Azure/AWS fundamentals (even self-taught/coursework)
- Basic scripting exposure (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub basics
