Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior–Mid Level Database Administrator to monitor and manage MongoDB and Progress OpenEdge databases and ensure they operate at optimum performance levels.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying database performance issues, suggesting improvements and working with the technical team to implement necessary changes. The role will also involve using AI-based tools for database monitoring and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor MongoDB instances for health, performance and availability.
- Identify database performance issues and areas for improvement.
- Identify and analyse long-running/slow queries.
- Monitor and manage Progress OpenEdge databases.
- Perform general Progress OpenEdge database management.
- Manage/add database extents as required.
- Manage Progress OpenEdge services.




- Identify potential database issues proactively and suggest improvements.
- Ensure databases operate at optimum performance levels.
- Work with the Senior DevOps/technical team to implement improvements.
- Maintain proper documentation of database issues and activities.
- Use AI tools to assist with database monitoring, performance analysis and issue identification.
- Participate in rotational weekend/holiday database support when required.

Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in Database Administration, Database Monitoring or related roles.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Knowledge of Progress OpenEdge will be preferred.
- Understanding of database performance and query optimization.
- Ability to identify slow/long-running queries.
- Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of database monitoring and management.
- Willingness to learn and use AI-based monitoring and analysis tools.
