We are looking for experienced Underwriting Professionals to join one of the industry’s leading teams.

Job Description – Credit Underwriter

Responsible for independently evaluating and underwriting credit proposals by analysing the applicant’s financial profile, repayment capacity, credit history, business performance and associated risks, and taking appropriate credit decisions within the delegated authority.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently underwrite loan applications in line with approved credit policy and underwriting guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer financials, income, liabilities, banking behaviour and credit history.
- Analyse CIBIL and other bureau reports and identify adverse credit behaviour.
- Evaluate income documents, bank statements, ITRs, financial statements and business documents.
- Assess customer profile, industry/business risk, stability and future repayment capability.
- Identify potential fraud, misrepresentation,



document discrepancies and risk triggers.
- Structure appropriate credit terms, conditions, limits and risk mitigants.
- Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes with clear rationale for the credit decision.
- Review policy deviations and assess whether adequate mitigants are available.
- Ensure complete compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines and risk controls.

Required Skills
- Strong expertise in credit underwriting and risk assessment.
- Excellent understanding of lending products and credit policies.
- Strong financial statement and banking transaction analysis skills.
- Knowledge of bureau analytics and credit risk parameters.
- Advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
