Boiler Operator Required for : Nigeria

Boiler Operators control, operate, and maintain stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities like steam, heat, or power for buildings or industrial processes. Core Duties & Responsibilities
Operate equipment: Start up, regulate, repair, and shut down boilers, engines, turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
Monitor systems: Read gauges, meters, and charts; track boiler operations, water/chemical/fuel levels, pressure, temperature
Adjust controls: Activate valves to change water, air, and fuel in boilers; fire coal furnaces or feed boilers using gas/oil pumps
Safety & inspections: Check safety devices routinely; inspect equipment for efficiency; recognize and correct boiler upset conditions
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance like lubrication, filter replacement, ash removal; overhaul valves, gaskets, bearings; remove soot/corrosion




Water treatment: Maintain chemical treatment programs, perform water sampling/testing, blow down gauge glass, test low water cut-off
Recordkeeping: Keep logs of operation, maintenance, safety activity; maintain log books and chart recorders
Troubleshooting: Monitor alarms and temperature/pressure differentials, diagnose malfunctions, take corrective actions.
Common Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training, certification, or trade school preferred
License/Certification: Valid boiler operator license/certification required
Experience: 5+ years operating/maintaining boilers typical; apprenticeship of 2+ years common
Skills: Read technical manuals/blueprints, welding a plus, physical stamina, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects
Other: Passport Required

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
