1. Product Development & Technical Coordination
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs for auto components (metal, plastic, rubber, electrical parts).
- Work with engineering teams to ensure feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with OEM standards.
- Coordinate sample development, tooling, and prototyping with suppliers.
2. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for auto parts and engineering goods.
- Build solid relationships with vendors to ensure timely development and production.
3. Costing & Commercial Management
- Support RFQs, tenders, and commercial proposals.
- Track cost changes due to design modifications or raw material fluctuations.
4. Order & Production Management
- Manage order tracking, and production followups.
- Monitor lead times, capacity planning, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure packaging, labelling and logistics meet customer guidelines.
- Work closely with logistics, and quality teams.
5. Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of automotive components, materials, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T; knowledge preferred).
- Excellent communication and vendorhandling skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and technical documentation tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Experience
- Candidate with 2 years of experience in Merchandiser position at Buying Agency or Export House.
