We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to drive design, development, and delivery of IBM Sterling-based order management / integration solutions. The role requires strong hands-on Java expertise combined with deep functional and technical knowledge of the IBM Sterling platform, along with the ability to lead a team of developers through the full SDLC. This is an immediate requirement — candidates available to join at short notice are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of IBM Sterling OMS / B2B Integrator solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Java and Sterling developers.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and architecture.
- Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage integration touchpoints between Sterling and upstream/downstream enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within Sterling environments.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, QA, and project managers to ensure on-time delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8-12 years of overall Java/J2EE development experience, with 4+ years on IBM Sterling (OMS / B2B Integrator / Order Management).
- Robust hands-on experience with Sterling customization, BPML, extensions, and APIs.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST/SOAP web services, and SQL.
- Experience leading a development team and owning technical delivery.
- Solid understanding of order management, supply chain, or B2B integration domains.
Preferred / Good to Have
- IBM Sterling certification.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
