Job Title: Facility Manager

Reporting To: Administrative Head / Maintenance Incharge

Job Summary

The Facility Manager will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the campus infrastructure and facilities. The role involves supervising facility staff, managing vendors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a protected, clean, and functional environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, classrooms, offices, hostels, laboratories, and common areas.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, elevators, generators, and other infrastructure systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

2. Infrastructure Management
- Monitor campus infrastructure and plan upgrades, repairs, and renovations when required.




- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for facility-related projects.
- Maintain records of facility assets and maintenance activities.

3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire safety norms, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and proper functioning of safety systems.

4. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage contracts for housekeeping, security, landscaping, waste management, and maintenance services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure quality service delivery.
- Negotiate service agreements and control operational costs.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage the facility management budget.
- Monitor expenses related to utilities, maintenance, and services.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

6. Team Management
- Supervise facility staff including technicians
