Role & responsibilities
- Develop in-house overmolding capabilities for the Product Line parts manufacturing.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting field research programs; applying knowledge of product design, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; coordination with other departments (quality, production, maintenance) and production floor.
- Create mfg. process documentation for mold tools and mold presses.
- Set up standard manufacturing process for product line.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
- Lead and support mfg. engineering activities in coordination with the Mfg. strategy.
- Support cross Morse mfg. plants in continue improvement activities.
- Support GSM with molding issues at components suppliers.
- Development of new processes, tooling, and equipment required for manufacturing new products with robust process controls in line with program timelines.
- Responsible for conducting manufacturing feasibility assessment,
provide capital requirement on current RFQs by coordinating with cross functional team and global team through MSO review.
- Adherence of forecasted capital and tooling spending as per planned.
- Develop new technology process based on DMS products strategy with global support.
- Responsible for Improving current process to global standards in terms of productivity, Scrap/PPM, Safety, Poka yoke controls, Process capability
- Extend technical support for production and quality on Critical line stoppages and Customer complaint issues.
- Should be able to develop documentation requirement in the complete process, drive periodic review and Update regularly
- Core Tool Exposures such as Flow diagram, FMEA/ MSA/Work instructions/SPC/PDCA/ Control Chart / QC tools / 5 Why / 3W1H / 8D/Cause & effect diagram / Pareto Chart /
- Must have knowledge on Cycle time Study, OEE, Line balancing, SMED, Kanban, lean basics.
