Position: Safety Engineer
Industry: Civil Construction / EPC
Experience: 3–7 Years
Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Engineering with Safety Certification preferred

Job Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site safety procedures as per CPWD requirements, applicable statutory norms and project safety plan.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, safety harnesses, helmets, shoes and other protective equipment.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and periodic safety training for workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor safety during excavation, scaffolding, height work, lifting operations, electrical works, welding and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure proper barricading, signage, access control and housekeeping across the construction site.
- Verify scaffolding, ladders, lifting tools and safety equipment before use.
- Prepare and maintain Permit to Work, safety checklists, inspection records and statutory documentation.
- Investigate accidents,



near-misses and unsafe incidents and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, subcontractors and client/CPWD representatives on safety matters

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of construction site safety experience.
- Experience in large civil, institutional, hospital or government EPC projects preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Knowledge of work-at-height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting, electrical and fire safety.
- Ability to conduct safety audits, toolbox talks and worker training.
- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with CPWD/government project safety procedures will be preferred.
- Strong site presence with the ability to enforce safety requirements across contractors and workers.

Preference: Candidates with experience on CPWD, Government, Hospital or large-scale EPC construction projects.
