We are looking for an Electrical / Electronic Technician – Weaving for our textile manufacturing business in Kenya.

Industry : textile manufacturing

Profile:

1. Ideally 25–35 years old

2. Approximately 3–8 years of relevant experience in weaving-machine electrical/electronic maintenance

3. Strong hands-on experience with SMIT rapier looms, preferably GS900

4. Key: Good working knowledge of Stäubli dobby systems and SMIT machine controls

5. Solid troubleshooting capability across sensors, drives, control panels, wiring, electronic faults and machine stoppages

6. Able to diagnose recurring faults, identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions

7. Comfortable with preventive maintenance, machine calibration, commissioning and electrical/electronic upgrades

8. Data-driven and systematic in maintenance planning, breakdown analysis and spare-parts management

9. Practical,



hands-on, energetic and comfortable training local technicians and operators

Key objectives:

• Improve machine uptime and electrical/electronic reliability

• Reduce repetitive breakdowns and downtime

• Improve preventive-maintenance systems

• Strengthen troubleshooting capability within the local team

• Improve availability and planning of critical electrical/electronic spares

• Support higher loom speeds, efficiency and stable machine performance

• Build stronger internal technical capability around SMIT and Stäubli systems

The priority is someone who has genuinely worked hands-on with SMIT / Stäubli equipment, rather than a general textile electrical technician.
