Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Linux Engineer
to join our infrastructure and network engineering team, responsible for deploying, implementing, and supporting secure Linux-based platforms within enterprise and data centre environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
8 years of hands-on experience
with Linux operating systems and a solid background in network security, firewall technologies, and infrastructure deployment.

This role requires expertise in
NixOS
, with experience in
RHEL
,
GUIX
, or other immutable operating systems. The successful candidate will also have strong knowledge of Linux networking, security zoning, stateful firewalls, and packet filtering technologies such as
nftables
. Experience with
Cilium
and
Zeek
is highly desirable, while exposure to
Suricata
will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support enterprise Linux servers across production and non-production environments.
- Implement and manage Linux operating systems, including NixOS, RHEL, GUIX, and other immutable OS platforms.




- Deploy and configure Linux-based networking and security services.
- Implement Linux firewall solutions using nftables and stateful firewall technologies.
- Configure Linux networking, including Layer 2 networking, routing, VLANs, and security zoning.
- Support deployment and integration of enterprise firewall platforms, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Check Point.
- Implement and troubleshoot Linux security controls, host hardening, and network segmentation.
- Configure and support Cilium for Kubernetes networking and security (where applicable).
- Deploy and maintain Suricata IDS/IPS and Zeek network monitoring solutions (preferred).
- Perform Linux system upgrades, patching, migrations, and implementation activities.
- Troubleshoot operating system, networking, firewall, and security-related issues.
