JOB OVERVIEW: The role will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits across Retail and/or Wholesale lending businesses, covering credit appraisal, underwriting, disbursement, portfolio monitoring and collections. The role will assess internal controls, risk management, governance and regulatory compliance, identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions to strengthen process integrity.

EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- 3 to 8 years of relevant Internal Audit experience in Retail Assets and/or Wholesale Assets within an NBFC, HFC, Bank or reputed audit firm. Experience in either vertical is encouraged; exposure to both is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of credit/lending processes, internal controls, risk management and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience in conducting credit/process audits, thematic reviews and special audits, with the ability to identify risks, control gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Robust analytical, financial analysis and MS Excel/data handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audits/projects and timelines,



with strong documentation and report-writing skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct risk-based credit audits across Retail and/or Wholesale Asset businesses, covering pre-sanction, post-sanction, disbursement and portfolio monitoring processes.
- Independently assess credit processes, risks, controls and mitigants, including financial analysis and identification of process/control gaps.
- Review adherence to internal policies, processes, regulatory guidelines and credit controls, including documentation and compliance with pre- and post-disbursement conditions.
- Assess the effectiveness of risk monitoring mechanisms, including Early Warning Signals (EWS), and identify potential weaknesses in credit evaluation and portfolio monitoring.
- Identify control/process gaps and recommend practical corrective actions and process improvements to strengthen governance, risk management and controls.
