Role Summary

The Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, documented, developed, tested and implemented while maintaining appropriate operational, regulatory, risk, security and data privacy considerations.

Job Purpose:

To understand and analyse business requirements, document business processes, translate requirements into functional specifications, and coordinate between business teams, IT, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions for the NBFC. The role also ensures that business, regulatory, risk, information security and data privacy requirements are appropriately considered.

2. Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse and document requirements from business functions such as Credit, Operations, Collections, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Customer Service. Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, functional specifications and requirement traceability documents.



Translate business requirements into explicit functional requirements for IT, development and application teams. Coordinate with internal IT teams, application teams and third-party vendors for system development, configuration, integration and enhancements. Prepare UAT strategy, test scenarios and test cases; coordinate UAT execution and defect resolution with relevant stakeholders. Validate system functionality, business rules, calculations, workflows, reports and interfaces against approved requirements. Support implementation, release, change management, user training and post-implementation activities. Analyse business and system data to identify exceptions, process gaps, reconciliation issues and opportunities for improvement.
