The Role in Brief
We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team focused on delivering impactful, high-quality software for the education sector. In this role, you will drive test planning, execution, and automation efforts for a suite of enterprise web applications, helping to ensure exceptional product quality across the board. You’ll be embedded within a collaborative, cross-functional agile team and play a pivotal role throughout the product lifecycle—from feature inception to release.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand feature requirements and define robust test strategies
- Own the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data for feature, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Identify edge cases and assess downstream impacts to proactively surface potential issues
- Perform manual testing of complex workflows and validate system behavior across varied scenarios
- Drive root cause analysis and defect management activities, ensuring clear documentation and communication of issues
Automation & Performance Testing
- Work closely with the automation team to improve test coverage and help integrate automation into the CI/CD process
- Contribute to functional automation using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, or JMeter
- Participate in performance and load testing activities to evaluate system responsiveness under stress
- Provide QA sign-off for maintenance, feature, and infrastructure releases
Process & Collaboration
- Engage actively in all agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) and help shape team testing best practices
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment verification
- Participate in QA process improvements and support QA workplace configuration, test data setup, and deployment readiness
