- Perform routine and specialized EEG (Electroencephalography) procedures as per clinical requirements.
- Perform Video EEG / Long-Term EEG monitoring and ensure continuous and accurate recording.
- Assist with EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) as directed by the Consultant.
- Assist in Evoked Potential studies, including VEP, SSEP and BAEP, wherever applicable.
- Prepare patients for neurophysiological investigations and explain the procedure clearly.
- Position patients appropriately and apply electrodes, leads, and other equipment correctly.
- Ensure proper electrode placement and maintain positive signal quality throughout the procedure.
- Monitor patients during investigations and immediately report any abnormal clinical events or emergencies to the concerned doctor.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain EEG, EMG/NCS, Video EEG, and other neurophysiology equipment.
- Identify and rectify common technical artefacts and recording issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and routine quality checks of equipment before procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records,



investigation reports, worksheets, and digital data.
- Ensure proper storage, backup, and retrieval of neurophysiology recordings in accordance with hospital policy.
- Assist Consultants during specialized neurophysiology procedures and investigations.
- Maintain infection-control practices, including cleaning and disinfection of reusable equipment and accessories.
- Ensure patient identification and verification before every procedure.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate with Neurology, Neuro ICU, Emergency, OPD, IPD and other clinical departments as required.
- Handle equipment and consumables responsibly and report technical defects or shortages promptly.
