A Procurement Mechanical Engineer sources, evaluates, and buys technical mechanical equipment, raw materials, and components for projects or manufacturing. They handle vendor negotiations, cost reduction, and technical compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing mechanical parts, HVAC systems, pumps, valves, or fabrication items.
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Finding and vetting new vendors and managing supplier relationships.
- Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring all purchased goods match industry standards and quality rules.
- Working with project and quality teams to fix delivery or material issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
