The Project Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective tracking, control, and reporting of project execution, with a solid focus on quality gate compliance, risk management, KPI monitoring, and structured communication to leadership. The role acts as a key link between team leaders and department head, ensuring transparency, timely decision-making, and adherence to project deliverables.
Role & responsibilities
1. Project Status Tracking & Monitoring
- Track overall project progress against defined timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain up-to-date project dashboards reflecting plan vs. actual status.
- Monitor dependencies, constraints, and critical paths affecting project execution.
2. Quality Gate Deliverables Management
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed and validated as per defined Quality Gates (QG).
- Track compliance with QG timelines and escalate deviations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for readiness reviews and maturity checks.
- Ensure documentation completeness and adherence to project governance standards.

Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify, document, and track project risks and issues.
- Maintain and monitor the risk register, ensuring timely updates and mitigation actions.
- Evaluate risk probability, impact, and severity; define countermeasures.
- Escalate high-risk items and communicate status regularly to stakeholders.
- Prepare structured risk reports for management reviews.
4. KPI Monitoring & Abnormality Detection
- Compile, track, and analyze department-level KPIs related to project performance.
- Develop dashboards (e.g., Power BI / Excel) to visualize KPI trends.
- Identify abnormalities or deviations using defined thresholds and control limits.
- Drive corrective actions by coordinating with responsible stakeholders.
- Support KPI cascading and linkage with project deliverables.
