The candidate should be solid in SQL and capable of validating data across *source systems, ETL pipelines, staging areas, data warehouses, and target systems*. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify data discrepancies and investigate their root causes.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and execute *database and ETL test cases* based on business and technical requirements.

* Perform *source-to-target data validation* using SQL.

* Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

* Write complex SQL queries for *data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation*.

* Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and integrity.

* Perform *data migration and data reconciliation testing*.

* Validate ETL mappings, transformation rules, joins, filters, aggregations, and business rules.

* Test *stored procedures, views, functions, triggers,



and database constraints*.

* Identify missing, duplicate, incorrect, or truncated data.

* Perform *backend testing* and validate application data directly against the database.

* Execute positive, negative, boundary, and exception test scenarios.

* Analyze ETL job failures and investigate data discrepancies.

* Validate *incremental and full data loads*.

* Perform regression testing after ETL/database changes.

* Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as *Jira, ALM, or similar tools*.

* Work closely with developers, ETL developers, Business Analysts, and data engineering teams to resolve defects.

* Prepare test reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
