Key purpose

To provide leadership to Gharda facilities in driving safety culture, high adherence to protected practices and continuous improvement for excellence in safety

Role & responsibilities

Develops the Safety strategy at all plant locations in alignment with business strategy and guides the respective plant teams to ensure the effective execution of the same

Identifies required safety improvements and guide all sites to prepare proposal for safety systems which reuires capital budget with approval.

Develops, updates and guides team to implement best-in-class safety standards and processes

Desings and implements Safety Management systems for continual growth

Ensures that global and local safety standards are applied throughout all the sites in an effective manner. Monitors and ensures compliGuides team in investigation and troubleshooting of critical incidents in a timely and effective mannerance to the defined regulations

Conducts operation readiness reviews for projects to ensure EHS compliance as per the design intent.



Conducts project safety reviews and review contractor safety programs

Establishes systems and processes to share incidental learnings with other sites

Responsible for development, modification and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls for Safety in order to ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with external regulatory, risk and audit requirements and internal guidelines

Guides team to analyze processes and recommend enhancements to minimize escalations, improve operating efficiencies, control variabilities, and minimize cost

Preferred candidate profile

Necessary certifications in Safety

To be well versed with requirements of a chemical factory handling hazardous chemicals

To be well versed with requirements of a chemical factory handling hazardous chemicals

Willingness to travel to different Gharda sites particularly in Maharashtra and Gujarat
