Job Description
- Conduct metallurgical, mechanical and physical testing of metals, steel and other materials as per defined standards.
- Perform testing using metallurgical laboratory instruments and equipment and ensure accuracy of test results.
- Support recent product and material development through feasibility studies, material characterization and testing.
- Handle furnace validation and process equipment validation activities.
- Maintain the metallurgy laboratory, equipment and records as per defined procedures.
- Prepare and maintain test reports, validation documents and laboratory records.
- Ensure compliance with material and metallurgical standards.
- Support quality improvement, root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production and NPD teams for material and metallurgical requirements.
