ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Shipbuilding Hull & Structure Design Consultant with 5–8 years of experience in shipbuilding design consulting and marine engineering.
The role focuses on supporting and delivering solutions across Hull & Structure Design, Manufacturing, Drafting, Marine Structural Design, and Shipbuilding processes. The candidate will work on 3DEXPERIENCE-based digital engineering solutions, process improvement, technical support, automation, platform administration, and user adoption within shipbuilding/shipyard environments.
The ideal candidate should have solid shipbuilding domain knowledge along with hands-on experience in CATIA V6, ENOVIA, DELMIA and/or 3DEXPERIENCE, and should be comfortable working with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand and support ship design workflows covering Space Allocation, Structure Design, Manufacturing, and Drafting.
• Provide solution delivery and consulting for Hull Structure Design, Manufacturing and Drafting, aligned with standard shipbuilding processes.
• Work with Marine Structural Design and shipbuilding engineering processes.
• Understand legacy design and manufacturing practices and map them to recent digital tools to improve adaptability, efficiency, and workflow performance.
• Support 3DEXPERIENCE platform implementation and adoption within shipbuilding operations.
• Follow best-practice methodologies for Nesting software integration (ALMA) and Spool Drawing generation using 3DEXPERIENCE out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues reported by users and raise service requests with Dassault Systèmes R&D;/Support when required.
• Identify and report software bugs/defects to the relevant R&D; team.
