We are looking for an experienced ( 5 to 8 years hands on exp) Application Packaging Engineer with robust expertise in InstallShield to design, create, customize, and maintain enterprise -grade software packages. The candidate will be responsible for packaging, repackaging, testing, and deploying applications across Windows environments using MSI/MSIX standards and enterprise deployment tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain application packages using InstallShield (Basic MSI, InstallScript, Suite/Advanced UI)

- Repackage vendor EXE/MSI installers into enterprise -ready MSI/MSIX packages

- Customize installations using transforms (MST), response files, and silent switches

- Develop and manage InstallShield projects including:

- Features & components





- Custom actions (VBScript, PowerShell, InstallScript)

- Prerequisites (.NET, VC++, runtimes)

- Conditions & dependencies

- Perform application discovery and packaging readiness assessment

- Configure silent/unattended installations and uninstallations

- Handle version upgrades, patches, and major/minor upgrade logic

- Troubleshoot installation failures using MSI logs and verbose logging

- Integrate packages with deployment tools
