Role & responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth day-to-day store functioning.
• Drive sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while achieving business targets.
• Manage store P&L;, budgeting, inventory control, shrinkage, and cost optimization.
• Ensure high standards of visual merchandising, product availability, pricing accuracy, and store presentation.
• Lead, coach, and develop department managers and store teams to achieve performance goals.
• Monitor sales performance, KPIs, footfall, conversion, basket size, and implement strategies to improve productivity.
• Ensure effective stock replenishment, inventory accuracy, and compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving customer concerns and maintaining a customer-first culture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs,



statutory regulations, health & safety, and audit requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Solid leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead large retail teams.
Proven experience in store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and commercial performance.
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales analysis, budgeting, shrinkage control, and profit optimization.
Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in retail ERP/POS systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and business analysis.

Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in Supermarkets, Hypermarkets, Retail Chains, FMCG, Cash & Carry, or Large Format Retail are highly encouraged to apply.
