Job Description: Electrical Estimation Engineer – Panel Manufacturing Industry

The Electrical Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound cost estimates control panels. This role involves analyzing client technical documents, Preparing 2D drawings, identifying component specifications, calculating material cost and collaborating with sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

l Review and analyze client Request for Quotation , technical specifications, Single Line Diagrams (SLD’s), and bills of quantities (BOQ).

l Identify technical discrepancies, ambiguities, or missing data in customer documents and raise formal technical queries to the client.

l Select cost-effective and compliant electrical components, including switch gear (MCCB, MCB), contactor’s and meters.

l Float inquiries to external component vendors and authorized distributors to obtain competitive pricing and technical data sheets.

l Calculate detailed material costs for electrical components, internal wiring, and mechanical sheet metal enclosures.





l Estimate required engineering resources, shop-floor fabrication labor and packing/forwarding charges.

l Utilize Excel spreadsheets to build comprehensive cost sheets.

Technical Skills

l Technical Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD’s), electrical schematics.

l Component Knowledge: Deep understanding of low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) switch-gear products from major brands (e.g., Schneider, Siemens, ABB, Eaton).

l Software Competency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with AutoCAD & ERP systems (SAP).

Education & Experience

l Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

l Experience: 3 to 4 years of direct experience in electrical estimation, costing within a panel manufacturing or switch-gear industry

Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
