Role & responsibilities

Start, operate, and stop the sanding machine safely and efficiently.

Set sanding parameters such as conveyor speed, grit size, and roller pressure.

Monitor sheet thickness and surface finish after sand

Ensure proper alignment of sheets to avoid uneven sanding or edge damage.

Inspect sheets visually for surface marks or scratches before stacking.

Coordinate with Press and Cutting sections for material flow.

Check dust extraction system and ensure proper suction operation.

Record machine readings (amp load, roller pressure, belt wear).

Report any unusual sound, vibration, or machine fault to maintenance.

Follow quality standards for thickness tolerance and smoothness.

Preferred candidate profile

Technical knowledge of sanding machine operation (wide-belt or calibration type).

Understanding of laminate surface finish requirements.

Ability to read micrometer/thickness gauge readings.
