About the Kitchen

This is not a commercial production kitchen.
RedHill runs a homestay-style, from-scratch kitchen where food is cooked slowly, seasonally, and with intention.

We work with organic vegetables, herbs, and local Nilgiri produce — much of it grown on our own land. The food here is meant to feel alive, honest, and deeply connected to the place. No shortcuts. No frozen fixes. No factory vibes.

RedHill Nature Resort is a 150-year-old heritage bungalow overlooking Emerald Lake, surrounded by tea gardens and quiet. Guests come here to disconnect from noise and reconnect with nature — and the food is a big part of that experience.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare fresh, home-style meals using seasonal, organic ingredients
- Plan menus that evolve with the land, weather, and availability
- Experiment thoughtfully with recipes rooted in tradition, not trends
- Maintain high standards of hygiene,



inventory, and kitchen order
- Coordinate with a small kitchen team and train helpers when required
- Occasionally interact with guests and share the story behind the food

Who This Role Is For
- Someone who genuinely loves simple, honest cooking
- Minimum 1 year experience in a homestay, retreat, or professional kitchen
- Clean, organised, and dependable — discipline matters as much as skill
- Curious about local ingredients and sustainable food practices
- Willing to commit and grow with us for at least 2 years
