RMO (Resident Medical Officer) – Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24×7 medical coverage and first-line assessment of admitted patients.
- Conduct initial patient assessment and document clinical findings.
- Monitor vital signs, clinical status and response to treatment.
- Review and follow investigation reports and promptly inform the consultant about significant abnormalities.
- Implement and follow the consultant’s treatment plan and medical orders.
- Maintain accurate progress notes, treatment records and clinical documentation.
- Attend to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate emergency management.
- Coordinate with nursing staff regarding medications, monitoring and patient care.
- Ensure timely escalation of deteriorating or critically ill patients to the consultant/ICU team.
- Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
- Prepare/assist with discharge summaries and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts.
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection-control practices, patient-safety protocols and NABH requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional ethics and respectful communication with patients and attendants.
- Document and report adverse events, medication errors and clinical incidents as per hospital policy.
- Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and other departments for timely patient care.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
