Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall transportation operations and business development
- Develop new customers and grow the transportation business in the Gandhidham market
- Manage relationships with transporters, fleet owners and customers
- Negotiate transportation rates and ensure competitive pricing
- Coordinate vehicle placement, routing, loading and delivery
- Monitor service quality, delivery timelines and operational efficiency
- Manage transportation vendors and ensure availability of vehicles
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Freight Forwarding teams
- Monitor revenue, costs and profitability of the transportation business
- Lead and manage the transportation team
- Handle customer requirements, operational issues and escalations
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant experience in Transportation / Logistics / Freight Forwarding
- Strong experience in transportation operations + business development
- Good knowledge of the Gandhidham / Kandla transportation market will be preferred
- Strong transporter and fleet-owner network will be an advantage
- Good negotiation, customer relationship and team management skills
- Ability to independently manage and grow the transportation vertical
