We are looking for a technical and curious Product & Design Engineer to help us improve and scale our internal systems and customer-facing digital products.

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design & Quality Control Engineer to lead our residential and commercial rooftop solar projects. In this role, you will own the technical lifecycle of our systems. Your responsibilities span from creating high-performance engineering designs to approving initial site surveys and conducting final installation quality control (QC). You will serve as the technical bridge between our field surveyors, engineering team, and installation crews to ensure every system is protected, compliant, and optimized for maximum energy output.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & System Design
- Create detailed 2D and 3D rooftop solar layouts using industry standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Arka Solar, or Helioscope).




- Perform accurate shading analysis, energy production modeling, and electrical string sizing.
- Develop full structural and electrical schematic diagrams (Single Line Diagrams/SLDs), including inverter, battery storage, and balance of system (BOS) specifications.
- Ensure all designs strictly comply with local building codes, electrical standards, and utility interconnection rules.

Site Survey Review & Approval
- Evaluate and validate physical site survey data, drone imagery, and structural reports submitted by field teams.
- Assess rooftop structural integrity, optimal layout constraints, and electrical service panel capacities.
- Make definitive go/no-go engineering decisions on project viability based on survey constraints.

Quality Control & Compliance
- Establish and enforce standardization checklists for pre-installation site readiness and post-installation quality assurance.
