Job Title: Production Editor

1. About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Editor to join our dynamic publishing team. The Production Editor will oversee the production process of books, ensuring quality and timely delivery while coordinating with authors, publishers, editors, designers, and printers. This role is crucial in maintaining high editorial and production standards for our publications.

2. Key Responsibilities
- Production Management:
- Oversee the production process from manuscript preparation, submission to final delivery.
- Ensure all deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with authors, publishers, designers, project managers and printers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Act as a liaison between editorial, design, and marketing teams to meet project goals.
- Quality Assurance:
- Review manuscripts for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to house style and layout guidelines.




- Conduct final checks on proofs, ensuring no errors in content, formatting, or design.
- Technical Oversight:
- Ensure proper formatting for print and digital editions, adhering to publishing standards.
- Stay updated on production tools, software, and trends in the publishing industry.

3. Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in English, Publishing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in editorial production, preferably in the book publishing industry.
- Strong knowledge about publishing software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, MS Office).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

4. Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with digital publishing formats (e.g., ePub, Kindle) and print-on-demand technologies.
- Experience working with external vendors such as printers and freelance editors.
